Merry Christmas


Take care of your cold

Now I am laying here with a cold and thought to share a little cold tip for you.
We all want to the miserable cold to go over as soon as possible.

This is what I usually do
  • Get plenty of rest, stress prolongs the time
  • Swallow whole white peppercorns 8 pieces a day
  • Boil water with 5 cm ginger, 1 teaspoon cloves, 1 large whole cardamom and a little anise. Boil 30 minutes and strain it. Drink hot every hour. You can put a little honey too
  • Rinse your nose with Netipot
  • Drink c vitamin C
  • Lemon - Lemon is antiseptic and astringent seems. The swelling of the throat and nose decreases with the help of fruit juice and peel. Lemon is additionally loaded with vitamin C, which boosts the immune system. Squeeze fresh juice and drink or gargle (sweeten with honey if it becomes too acidic).
  • Carrots - Carrots are expectorant and has a slight bactericidal effect. Raw Grated carrots to the food, a warming soup or a juice of carrot, orange and ginger is especially good for colds.

Healthy and tasty dinner

Yesterday I made a really tasty dinner with a lot of healthy ingredients.
This was so appreciated by the family that I would like to share it with you. I found a recipe and composed ​​it for my own taste.
I named it: "Saffron pasta with shrimp and tomato
".
The recipe is :
• Olive oil
• 0.5 g saffron
• Salt and pepper
• 1 yellow onion
• In clove garlic
• A little fresh or frozen basil
• Pasta Sauce with chili
• Frozen or fresh vegetables
• Coctailtomates
• Shrimp
• Parsley leaves
• Cream or creme fraiche
• Whole grain pasta

Start to burn the spices in oil in a wok yarn.
Then pour the chopped onion and garlic. Stir all the time.
Now you take the vegetables you want and woks them ready . Pour the Basilica.
Fold in the tomatoes and pour the pasta sauce .
Stir gently often .
Finish with a dash of cream or creme fraiche for a creamier and richer taste.
Pour into pre- cooked whole grain pasta and the shrimps. They shall only get warm. Not cook
Mix everything around and finish with fresh parsley leaves .
Serve with steamed Brussels sprouts.

Faster wellness with elderberry

Here are two recipes of elder tea.

Tea number one:

1. Dry the leaves and flowers on a sheet for 4-5 days or until they are completely dry and chapped.
2. Take 2 teaspoons of elderberry for every 2 cups of water.
3. Add dried elderberries in a mug, pour over boiling water and let stand 4-5 minutes.
 Drink only 2 cups per day to avoid the laxative effect. If you want to dry the flowers faster, so you can do it in the oven, on the bottom shelf for about 5-6 hours.


Tea number two:

5 elderflower bunches
1 handful fresh mint leaves or lemon balm
2 cups brown sugar or raw sugar
1 liter of boiling water

Neti Pot, your sinuses best friend

Nasal cleansing is an old tradition in Ayurveda and has its roots from India. Yogi rinses their nose every day to prevent infections and to experience greater mental clarity.
The more regularly you rinse your nose, the greater and more lasting the effect it will make.
Nasal wash stimulates and range of the area around the eyes and forehead. This can relieve tension headaches and improve eyesight and sense of smell, as well as being an aid to quit smoking.
I use my Netipot almost every day. My sinus problems and my colds have decreased considerably since I started using it.

I therefore recommend that you do it in the evening when you come home from work and you know you are not going out again.

Give your life light - cure your body

Try to get as much light as you can. Staying in light strengthens your resilience and prevent depression and sadness.
Daylight makes the brain produces the neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin is a chemical substance for the well being of the brain.
If you´re not getting enough of daylight, there is special lights to buy. Otherwise you can try light therapy. I've never done myself.

To give yourself the right light brings you:
 A better immune system
Reduces fatigue, stress and headaches
Combats depression and sadness
Increases the mind sharp
Increases your creativity
Reduce your sugar cravings, thus preventing weight gain


You can also meditate to light.
Put yourself in a position that signals alertness and openness. No arms crossed.
Close your eyes and breathe deeply with your stomach.
Now imagine that you are sitting under a waterfall of light that radiates through your head.
Feel your body filled with white flowing energy and how it heals your body.
Receive as long as you can feel focused.
This meditation is also good to do before going to practice healing on someone else.

Enjoy a day with plenty of light and feel how it enhances your precious body.

Meditate by the ocean and use its energy to heal yourself


Last night I went for a walk by the sea. There was an amazing sunset and I decided for a moment of meditation. With this meditation I retrieve power and new energy from the sea.

Do like this:
Stand with your arms out and breathe slowly a few breaths. Now start to bread deep with your belly. Focusing on the path of the air, from the mouth down to the lungs and back.
Imagine that you are breathing in white light with energy and power that strengthens your body. And out blue light that brings your illnesses, your worries and negative thoughts out from your body.
Do so for about five minutes. Think all the time on the breath, and your will not mind to wander.
Now imagine that you are breathing with your whole body. In and out. With the feet, legs, arms, all body parts.
Do so until you feel completely relaxed.
Now, let you become one with the ocean. Inhale as the ocean and listen to the ocean's rhythm. Feel the sea inside you.
Imagine how quiet and still everything is under the surface and feel the serenity become one with you.
Continue as long as you want.

Do not hesitate to take cortisone injection

Do you suffer from rheumatoid arthritis?I do. I have always waited to go to the doctor for taking a cortisone injections in different needed places. Brought excuses. But that´s not the way anymore.
I really think you should take a shot as soon as you feel you need to. Having an active inflammation breaks down the joints. That´s why you should not go dragging on it.
When you take your shot, you won´t feel better the first two days.




You need to rest and certainly not to burden the treating joint in one to two days. You should not come into contact with water at the injection site, because you can easily get yourself a bacterium into the ranks, (and that we do not).

This is what an shoulder joint with inflammation looks like.




When you waited two days after your injection, I promise you will feel soooo much better.
After eleven years of experience, I know what I'm talking about.
Yesterday I received two injections.
One in each shoulder aouch. It hurted.



 Had to lie in bed all day, but I know it will pay off

Take care of your pain

Bed of nails, also known as Shakti is an Indian rug for acupuncture and acupressure.
This I really recommend you to use as a tool to relieve your pain. It can of course also be used if you don´t have pain, but do dissolve the tension in your body and relax.
It is suitable for anyone who wants to feel better! If you are stressed out, sleep poorly, have low energy, muscle tension, stiffness, headache, temporary pain in your back and neck, or need better and deeper sleep, then the carpet is right for you.
Just want to alert you that it does not cure chronic pain.

To get an optimal effect, you should use the rug regularly. You will then be permanently deeper relaxed. I think that no matter who you are or what your situation looks like a bed of nails at home is something you should give yourself.

Proper hydration is vital

When it's hot outside or you exercise a lot,it is not enough just to drink water in order to be hydration.
It is required that you consume salt to the water, so that the water can be absorbed by the body. When you sweat a lot or when it is very hot, the balance in your body is disturbed  and you lose a lot of salts.
This also applies in cases of fever, stomach flu, diarrhea or excessive consumption of alcohol.

Therefore I give you a recipe of how to make your own rehydration solution:
1 L of boiled cooled water
6 teaspoons of granulated sugar
0.5 teaspoons of salt
If you want you can even have a few drops of lemon. Keep cold or at room temperature up to one day.

Why is it so important with water then?
Well, its task is to transport nutrients into cells and waste products out of cells. It also helps when the cells build proteins.
Other benefits of drinking water is that your joints are lubricated, the food need to be digested and it regulates your body temperature.
What happens if you do not drink enough water?
The body takes the fluid it needs from the blood that the blood volume decreases and the heart rate rises.
It's best for your body is that you drink 2-3 liters per day

Drink warm water, Ayurveda

Within the Ayurveda teachings encourage you to cleanse your body with water.
When you drink water you clear your body of toxins.
The important thing is that you drink boiled water that is cooled to room temperature.
How is this to be done?
You start the morning with clearing the mouth by gargling around water and spit it out. Then drink 2.5 cups of boiled lukewarm water and wait to eat in 45 minutes. When you do this you remove old debris away from the depots in the body.
It's been proven that it takes about 21 days to get used to a new habit so keep going and don´t give up.
If you drink warm water with meals, you also help the digestion. Particularly suited to oily food.

When you decided to take care of your body through the water therapy you prevent:
Fatigue
Muscle aches
High blood pressure
Constipation
Cystitis

Since the body is composed of about 60% water, you give your skin proper moisture when you drink water and dryness wrinkles on your face disappears. The skin is the organ which is last provided with water and if you don´t drink enough, it reacts by becoming dry and sensitive.

Now I finally removed my last amalgam fillings in my mouth.
The fillings are called the leaking bomb of poison, and causes many problems in the body.
Therefore, I chose to do a clean-up and remove mine.

You can´t walk yourself thin



I read a really interesting article about that you can´t walk yourself thin.
It says
that you have to walk 10 hours a day, if your weigh is

80 kg/176.3 Ibs, to loose 1 kg/2.2 Ibs a week. Walking as exercise has many health benefits for your body. But using exercise to lose weight appears, to be according to this article impossible. The pounds you manage to lose when you're exercising, you immediately have back again when you stop exercising.
Instead, it is the food that affects your weight. It's what you eat that determines how much you weigh. You are what you eat.

 Practicing mindfulness can be very important for your wellbeing. The mindfulness app gives you access to guided meditations at 3, 5, 15 and 30 minutes, and body scanning. Personally, I feel that I need a guiding in my meditations and this app complies that task excellent.

Do like me and relief stress in your every day situation, and have more energy to tackle upcoming problems. I can insure you that when you start to meditate, if only a few minutes each day, you will feel better and feel more inner peace.

A miracle manicure

Indulge yourself today and give your hands an amazing miracle manicure.
If you do this every week, you will have beautiful hands to feel proud of. Self, I must admit that I don´t do this frequently, but once a month I usually get to it.
You don´t need to go to expensive salons if you follow my advice below.




Wash your hands and gently rub cuticle clean with a nail brush.
Now take your homemade hand scrub that I wrote about before
Home made hand scrub, look here.
Rinse off with lukewarm water and go to your nourishing and healing water.
Pour warm water into a bowl that you can fit both hands in.
Add a little green soap (this heals wounds and dry bulk).
Sit with your hands in the water for 15 minutes.
Wipe them off.
Now is the time to take care of your cuticles. Pull it down gently with an emery board and cut them out with scissors you see in my picture.
File your nails with a glass file (it is the most gentle on the nail), preferably in one direction only.
Paint your nails.
Finish it all to lubricate your hands with a lovely hand cream and massaging them lightly.
Feel fine and do not forget the gloves when you wash and clean to preserve your hands.
